Their courage, service and sacrifice will never be forgotten

Each year, in November, hundreds of commemorative ceremonies and events take place across the country to commemorate Veterans’ Week and Remembrance Day.

On Remembrance Day members of the armed forces are especially commemorated.

The other common name for this day is Armistice Day which marks the date and time when armies stopped fighting World War I. on November 11th at 11am in 1918 (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month). Some 100,000 Canadian soldiers died in the First and Second World Wars.

Together, it is our duty to pass on our gratitude and keep their legacy and memories alive.

On this day, Arcbishop Papken Tcharian, Prelate, remembered the soldiers, sailors, airmen and the Vetarans with his prayers.
