Armenian Prelacy of Canada Hosts a Career Day for Alumni
Montreal, Qc– Under the Auspices of His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate, a career day for Armenian Alumni students was held at the Armenian Prelacy of Canada hall on the afternoon of January 29, 2007.
The special event, which was sponsored by the Armenian Prelacy of Canada and organized by the ARF “Armen Karo” Student Association, aimed to assist current CEGEP level students in deciding which discipline to choose for their post-secondary education.
ARF “Armen Karo” student association member Tvine Topouzian delivered the opening remarks and was succeeded by His Eminence Archbishop Hagopian who expressed how proud the Canadian Armenian community is to have such a striving youth.
“You are the future of the Canadian Armenian community and we are ready to work with you to make your future a brighter one, and the community with all its organizations is ready to be of full assistance,” said His Eminence in His address to the students.
Harout Bekiarian, ARF “Armen Karo” student association president, also took a couple of minutes to congratulate the students and wish them success in all their future endeavours, before Prelacy honorary certificates, as well as two publications, were given to each alumni student.
After a luncheon reception, students gathered at the Aharonian hall of the Montreal Armenian community centre, where professionals from a variety of fields, from finance to accounting, chemistry to medicine and education to communications, were on hand to field questions from interested students. Several detailed presentations were also given during the fair.
