Archpriest Nicolian Attends Week of Prayer for Christian Unity Service
Archpriest Hrair Nicolian, Laval’s Sourp Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church Pastor, attended the “Pray without Ceasing” service of the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity on January 27, 2008.
The event in Montreal was organized by the Canadian Centre for Ecumenism in tandem with different local Christian organizations, churches and communities. The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity consists of worship service and other events which are held across Canada and around the world.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, which was first held in the United States in 1908. The dates for the Week of Prayer are usually held between the feasts of St. Paul and St. Peter who represent Christian unity.
