Prelacy Hosts Annual Thanksgiving Dinner

Under the Auspices of His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate, the third annual Thanksgiving dinner was held at the Montreal Armenian Community Centre on Monday, October 13, 2008.

This traditional Thanksgiving feast was sponsored by Mrs. Diana Hadjetian and was organized by the Armenian Prelacy of Canada’s Women’s Guild and drew the attendance of more than 250 people.

In His opening remarks, Archbishop Hagopian noted the importance of taking the time to recognize all the treasures in our lives, particularly our family and friends, church and community, and how they enrich and complete us.

Prelate Hagopian also expressed the hope for our spirits to be filled with forgiveness towards each other, just like our Lord forgives us for our sins, and to be grateful for all that our Lord has bestowed upon us before blessing the meal.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, the Armenian Prelacy of Canada is holding a can drive for local charities across Canada. To participate in the drive, simply drop-off your canned items at your local Armenian Prelacy of Canada Church.
