Archbishop Hagopian Celebrates Horizon Weekly's 30th Anniversary with Community  His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, joined the Canadian Armenian community at a banquet celebrating the 30th anniversary of Horizon Armenian Weekly in Montreal on the evening of March 20, 2010.
More than 300 people joined the special celebration, which included a cultural program featuring talented young Armenian musicians, a DVD presentation about the history of the Weekly and an award ceremony honouring long-time newspaper contributors. His Eminence opened and closed the banquet with a prayer and noted in his closing speech, the importance of the work Horizon Weekly's editor-in-chief and staff carry out by highlighting the great significance of the service the newspaper provides to the Armenian community within Canada and internationally. |
