His Eminence Attends Toronto School Graduation and Student Association Office Opening

 

Toronto, On_ His Eminence, Archbishop Khajag Hagopian, Prelate of the Armenian Prelacy of Canada, attended the graduation ceremony of the Armenian Relief Society Day School on the evening of June 23, 2006.

 

In his speech to the graduating students, His Eminence reminded them of the importance of continuing their service to their community and church and keeping their culture and values strong.

 

During the same weekend, the official opening of the Armen Karo Armenian Revolutionary Federation Student Organization of Canada office was held under the Auspices of His Eminence, Archbishop Hagopian, on the afternoon of June 25 at the Armenian community center in Laval, Quebec.

 

During the cocktail reception, His Eminence reminded the attendants of the importance of the role the youth plays and the “need to support and encourage and accept them [the youth] as our revolutionary spirit, otherwise we are lost as a people.”

 

The A.R.F. Armen Karo student association’s primary objective is the assistance in the coordination of projects and events for university Armenian Student Associations across Canada. The organization was founded in fall 2005 and has 42 active members from universities across Ontario and Quebec.
